Sorry for the lack updates lately… just been busy starting up EDmag.ca, starting to write for Triumvir, & enjoying the short summer we have here in the city. Being summer in Edmonton, I do go out more than I often do BUT all I hear is electronic music which is all good BUT some of it has no SOUL. I’m sick of hearing music that has no SOUL in it…thus I go back to my number #1 muse in music which is Hip-Hop & R&B. The Common keeps on constantly bringing more and more great DJ’s to the space and last night was no different! DJ Pump & DJ Hedspin from EH! Team DJ’s were spinning classics all night long… brining everyone to the dance floor! As always a great crowd/atomosphere that comes along side with The Common. From seeing new & old faces everytime I go there is always refreshing to see and be around. It is awesome to see that Edmonton is finally getting to realize The Common for what it is… do not sleep on anymore events people!

It is sad to say that MOST people out there don’t know how his legacy he left before he passed… Stussy wanted to inform people. On doing so they made a documentary about the man himself of his uprising in the music game and separated it into a three part documentry. There are several people in it from Peanut Butter Wolf, DJ Houseshoes, DJ Rhemattic, Grath Trinidad, J.Rocc, B+, Egon, Frank Nitty, and many others that tells us the story of J Dilla’s history in the music game.

The Greater Good performed on Friday night at Blush along side with DJ Pump throwing down his classics on the 1’s & 2’s afterwards. It was a funn night due to the fact of seeing all the normal faces that supports TGG (Danskee, Justeezy, SammiSushi, LF, Vicky_T, JenMuretz, etc) getting nice and liqoured up. After their performance DJ Pump killed it as always on the tables…too bad the Blush sound system cut off on him more than twice… Other than that misshap it was a great night! In normal fashion after the bar is that me, Justine, and Sammi head to Mcdonalds and mean mug in the parking lot…haha great times as always!
