For one of my assignments this week for my Lighting course we had to use “window lighting”. This could be from a flash, strobe, or actual window lighting. We had to have a very very soft light source, no direct lighting, while producing a good portrait that tells a story and has an environment to help that story. Soo I got my favourite model, Mariel, to look like she was thinking about something happy while all snuggled up in a blanket while sipping on some tea. This assignment showed me that just using window light and reflectors, you can produce “studio” lighting for free!… KEEP A EYE FOR LIGHTING PEOPLE!

For one of my assignments for journalism we had to do a small introduction of using a multimedia platform of pictures relating to audio. Of course the first thing that came to mind was doing a timeline of cooking or baking something delicious. Soo Mariel & myself baked the moistest, chocolate-ly, deliciouses cake I’ve ever tasted thus far… no joke! The music chosen to be matched with my photo’s was actually Mariel’s suggestion of Oscar Peterson Trio & Lester Young - “Almost Like Being In Love”. Such a perfect match to the baking images because of the soulful sounds of jazz… Here are some of the images!
