On Sunday the Foosh fam and I went for a staff din din at Koutouki Taverna. We all like nom’n & drinking soo we went for the Meze which is basically a whole tastings of their famous/good dishes and a couple of bottles of wine. We all were seriously full after the 4th dish… BUT it was all good and I do recommend going there if you have not yet! This week is a pretty good weekend for The Common. On Thursday they will be hosting along side with Foosh the Gentle Fawn Spring 2010 Fashion Show that will start right at 9pm with DJ $hortee, DJ Sonny Grimezz, & Allout DJ’s spinning the after party. On Friday it’s the Monthly Golden Era Hip-Hop Night that is always PACKED & always FUN with the cool selections from DJ Sonny Grimezz & Allout DJ’s. This weekend is not one to miss! For Kyla’s (1/2 of Bamboo Ballroom) birthday we decided to go to Red Lobster because no one ate there for a really really long time… This dine in reminded me why I only go there for specific reasons…NOT for the food! The only really good thing was the lobster and the biscuits… soo yummy! Well HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLA and I know you enjoyed your crab / lobster / shrimp dinner 2nite!
Yesterday was an eventful night at the shop…well not really…it was hella slow! When that happens I always find an excuse to take photos, watch vids on my Macbook, and read magazines. Thankfully Jason and his daughter, Gemma, stop by for a visit and entertained me and Dane for the rest of the night. After work I headed to The Common for some drinks & food with Sammi (SammiSushi) and Justine (Justeezy) while listening to some good old hip-hop for Eazy Duz It Thursdays with DJ Sonny Grimezz & DJ Twist. Sunday marked Lydia’s & Rohan’s bi-monthly potluck which is held at their house that all of our family and friends come to get their grub on. EVERYONE stuffed their faces with all the food and we all had meat sweats & sugar shakes for the entire night. My favourite item of food this time around was Lydia’s chilli that was unreal…sweet corn, spicy, meaty, & soo GOOD! After comatosing from eating for three hour straight…we played some DJ Hero that Justin brought. He was showing off his skills that Hanson (hfourtysixit) filmed without him knowing… FUNNY ASS SHIT! Can not wait till the next one!
On Saturday I decided to bring my buddy along with me all day…my Canon 50D! I wanted to make it a habit once again to bring my camera along with me anywhere I go just incase that certain photo arrises in my head that I can shoot at an instant. My day consisted of me working at Foosh, eating, visiting Bamboo Ballroom, chilling with friends, eating, and a poker game… Enjoy the photos!
The shops infamous boxing day arrived yesterday…AND IT WAS MADNESS! The Foosh staff started the day right at 7:30am and ended at 6pm. Our line up was from our entrance to all the way passed Bubbles Car Wash. Everyone was super stoked on the sale once again, especially with another area for the shoes to free up some room in Foosh. Both sides were busy all day…and FINALLY 6pm rolled around to get our eats & drinks on at The Common. Foosh & Bamboo Ballroom held their after party at The Common with Spilt Milk, Allout DJ’s, Dane Gretzky, & DJ Sterobait on the 1’s & 2’s. The night was full of old faces visiting the city for the holidays and new faces joining the party. GREAT day & GREAT night as always.
