Noms At Sugarbowl

Last night at
Sugarbowl,
Mariel (
Mariel Noms) &
I ate and drank some new beers. It was along time since I ate at
Sugarbowl, soo I was excited to see whats new in their menu since last time. We ordered
Steamed Soy Beans with Sea Salt, Baked Brie/Basil in Phyllo, and Smoked Paprika/Lime Popcorn. For beverages Mariel got the DDC Rosée d’Hibiscus Wheat Beer and I got the Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout. Both the food & drinks were excellent as always. It’s something about the atmosphere, the people, and the music that makes that place so welcoming…almost homey. If your in Edmonton, do check out this place out!
My lovely date of the night, Mariel.

Potluck
Last night was Lydia’s bi-monthly Potluck with the Foosh/Bamboo Ballroom/The Common family & friends. I love these gatherings because everyone comes to eat good food, drink, and of course me schooling all the oldies in games haha. There were dumplings, spring rolls, lagonisa, tosino, meatballs, pasta, shepherds pie, persian style rice, and much more!… Ohh and raspberry soda was the drink of choice. Can’t wait till the next one!
Lydias AWESOME dumplings!

Some shows Lydia & Rohan played at in their career.

My raspberry soda and one of my MANY plates of food.

4x5 Setups
Today I took shots for school for my critic & image process class with the classic 4x5 View Camera. First I cooked up some sunny side up eggs & bacon with a croissant and a cup of coffee. It was like anytime I have taken a photo of my food… but this time its with a HUGE large format camera instead of my Canon 50D. The second setup was with my OF dissected buddies urning to be the larger one of itself (100% to be 400% to be 1000%) and I did a profile photo of the 1000%. I’m really stoked to see how they turn out tomorrow when I develop/processes the negatives and printing them.
