Black & White

This week was HELLA busy with tons of assignments due 7 all togeather. One assignment was a reproduction of a photograph that was taken 1960 or earlier. I chose to do an Irving Penn image “The Empty Plate” that he photographed in 1947 in New York. I tried the best that I could… not happy with my plate, knife, & fork props and how the fork/knife came out black VERY INEXPERIENCE WITH SHINNY OBJECT LIGHTING BUT I thought my reproduction came out decent.

My Reproduction of his amazing photograph

Another assignment was a character study of a second year in our program. I got one of the most photogenic people out of the bunch, Melissa. Basically she is very cute, energetic, and strong lady… I had to persway this somehow in the photograph. Ohh I could only use one light source for this assignment too which made placement of lighting very important! Soo I got her to jump clawing at the camera while smiling to convey all those attributes that I listed before… I was pretty happy with the result!

Till next time… keep motivated & keep shooting!
